On Sunday, June 11th, we took part in the LezMarket event organised by Lez N More at Villa Cellino in Turin. The event aimed to bring together artisans and associations linked to or supporting the LGBTQ+ community. 

Labiba’s Support for the LGBTQ+ Community

Labiba decided to participate in order to shed light on a struggle that extends beyond our borders, a fight against both land occupation and the occupation of bodies. We also aimed to support the alQaws organization, which advocates and protects the rights of the Palestinian LGBTQ+ community.

We set up a stall where people could taste our Hummus and purchase our t-shirts “𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐜𝐜𝐮𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝” and “𝘀𝗺𝗮𝘀𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝘆 𝘃𝗼𝗹. 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲”.

It was a beautiful experience to come together, meet, get to know each other, and discuss Palestine during an event that was all about recognising people’s freedom. 

We are incredibly proud to have been a part of it and to have made our voices heard.
