In collaboration with Labiba and L’Osteria Volante, the festival titled “Eventone 8: Debates to Tear Down Walls” aims to raise awareness and educate both students and the general public about the pervasive and weakening presence of walls around the world and their consequences. Admission is free and open to all, subject to availability.
The first session of the festival will take place on May 17 2023, at 7:00 PM, under the theme “Visible and Invisible Walls: Feeling the Untouchable Gap – Focus Palestine.”
The event will feature a screening of the short film “The Present” followed by an introductory dialogue with Issa Amro, a human rights defender from Youth Against Settlements Hebron, and Andrea De Domenico, Deputy Director of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Palestine. The discussion will be held in English.
On the same day, Labiba’s co-founder will also participate in an event organised by the Centre for Human Rights and the University of Padua at 4:PM on “The Challenge of Human Rights in Palestine”. It is possible to participate remotely via the following link:
